This is one of the most beautiful lakes in Upper Bavaria. It is situated around 700 metres above sea-level and surrounded by mountains on three sides, with only the north side exposed. A feast for the eyes at any time of year and any time of day. A fantastic spot for bathing in the summer and ideal for hiking in autumn and spring; a fairy tale in white in winter.
